Kingsley-Chatham Healthy Homes Compliance Timeframes

Tenancies established from 1 July 2019 and 30 , June 20,21

  • The insulation of the ceiling and underfloor is mandatory for all Kingsley-Chatham and New Zealand rental houses where it is reasonably practicable to install.
  • A Healthy Homes Declaration of Intent as well as an Insulation Statement, and an Insurance Statement should be included with any renewal, new or amended tenancy agreement.
  • Property managers and landlords must keep records that demonstrate conformance with each Healthy Homes Standard that apply or will be in force throughout the tenancy period of an apartment rental.

Heating Kingsley-Chatham

Rental properties in Kingsley-Chatham should have a permanent source of heat that can heat the principal or the biggest living space to at least 18degC, even on the most coldest days of the year.
